115 Island is 39
miles from Kawthaung. Could see some
monitor lizards and snakes. There is
a swallow Bird's cave. It's 15 feet
in height and 8 feet wide and can
enter in it. It's good place for
snorkeling and kayaking.
Nyaung
Wee Island ( Palubada )
Nyaung Wee Island
is a big island. It's lived by
salone (Sea Gypsy) on it. Could see
many mangrove trees, many birds,
monkeys, swines and snakes.
Bo
Cho (Punala)
There is a Salone
(Sea Village) called Makhonegalet.
You can learn their way of life and
take pictures. Many tourists have
been taking great interest in that
island for learning Sea Gypsies.
Lampi
Lampi is the most
popular island for the tourists in
Mergui Archipelago. It will take
these days in Lampi to see detail.
Myauk Ni Island
Myauk Ni Island
is known as Red Monkey Island among
the visitors and 20 miles northwest
of Kawthaung. The visitor could
enjoy the white sand beaches, wild
dolphins, corals fishes, forest and
birds around it. Visitors could meet
with Salone (Sea Gypsies). They live
on their boat and collect shell,
fish and various marine animals
around the island.
Myin Khwar Island (Horse Shoe)
Myin Khwar Island
is included in the Salone Islands
Group. Myin Khwar is also known as
Horse Shoe and 22 miles South west
of Kawthaung. The visitor could
enjoy climbing the stone rock, going
into brid's nests caves, corals,
fishes, lagoon, white sand beaches,
forests and birds around it.
Kyun PHILA (Great Swintons Islands)
The Great
Swintons Island is known as the
Philar Island, situated 45 miles
North West of Kawthaung. The beaches
are with very white clean sands.
It's also a special place for
snorkeling & diving because of Coral
Reefs, marine mammals, sharks,
etc... There is a dive site. It's
called shark cave, situated 3 miles
North of Kyun Phila. It has many
birds, animals including monkey,
snakes, fishes and marine mammals
and shark. Could visit & watch the
locals collecting bird's nests.
Visitors could have a chance to see
the salone (Sea Gypsy) and their
boats around the Kyun Phila.
Wa Ale Island
Wa Ale Island is
blue water and coral Reefs, so it's
the best place for snorkeling. The
beaches on the Wa Ale Island are
with white clean sands. It's 65
miles North West of Kawthaung. It
haves various species of birds,
animals, fishes and marine mammals.
It's an annexure of the Lampi
Island.
Salet
Galet
Salet Galet is
between Lampi and Wa Ale island.
There is a small Salone (Sea Gypsy)
village. Fresh water can get there.
Could go along the mangrove creek
and also enjoy the beauty of Lampi,
Wa Ale on its. Many birds,
especially sea eagles can be seen
there. It becomes a tourist
attraction because of a peaceful
place and wild life.
Kubo Island
Kubo is one of
the residence for Salone (Sea
Gypsies). There are plenty of
oysters so visitors have a chance to
see their boat and have good
opportunity take photographs. It's
the only island in Mergui
Archipelago where Hon Bills can be
seen and can take the most beautiful
